Hexham`s meeting on Friday is the latest to fall foul of the current spell of wet weather in Britain.
Officials had been due to inspect the course tomorrow morning but further heavy rain overnight led them to take an early decision.
A course spokesman said: 'We have abandoned.
'We had been due to inspect tomorrow but we`ve had so much rain overnight we`ve had the stewards here this morning to make it fair on everybody.'
