Carl Llewellyn today refused to be drawn on whether he will ride Beau or King`s Road in Saturday`s Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup.
He is the regular partner of both leading fancies, who are currently quoted at 8-1 and 10-1 respectively for the Newbury feature by Ladbrokes.
And Nigel Twiston-Davies` stable-jockey is delaying his decision on which to side with until both have been confirmed certain runners in the £100,000 chase.
'They have got to come through all the normal blood tets, scopes and trachea washes and when they have done that I will decide,' Llewellyn said. 'But until then there is no point in saying anything.
'Conditions will suit them both and they are very close in the betting.
'Beau will have top-weight of 11st 10lb but he is a seriously good horse and he deserves it.'
Llewellyn won last season`s Whitbread Gold Cup on Beau, whom he rode into third place on the gelding`s seasonal bow at Cheltenham last weekend.
But the Welshman missed King`s Road`s recent comeback second at Wincanton as he was in action at Chepstow.
