Nicky Henderson revealed that each of his record-equalling four Cheltenham Festival winners could miss Aintree this week.
Arkle Chase winner Tiutchev and Stayers' Hurdle victor Bacchanal are both bound for Punchestown next week, with Marlborough - who landed the William Hill National Hunt Chase - heading for Ayr.
And the trainer's Cathcart Chase winner Stormyfairweather is far from certain to take up his entry in Friday's Melling Chase at Aintree, to which he was added when the race was reopened.
"The original plan was the Whitbread for him," Henderson said. "When a £100,000 race only gets seven entries obviously you have to look at it but we have already got Makounji as a possible and I can't say what we will do yet.
"Blue Royal, Bacchanal, Tiutchev and Regal Exit will go to Punchestown, and Marlborough is going for the Scottish Grand National."
But Henderson, whose four-timer Cheltenham matched the modern-day best set by Martin Pipe in 1997 and 1998, is still looking forward to the spring's second big jumps Festival.
His runners are likely to include Triumph Hurdle fourth Architect, Tote Gold Trophy winner Geos and Esprit de Cotte in the Grand National itself.
"We have got a good team for Aintree," he said.
"Architect is in very good form. Geos and Katarino will run in the hurdle on Saturday.
