Undefeated Hallowed Dreams will try for a record 17th consecutive win when she runs in the Millennium Stakes at Evangeline Downs, Louisiana tomorrow.
A victory will place her above the previous record holders Citation and Cigar, who won 16 straight races each.
Four other Louisiana-bred fillies and mares have been entered in the six-furlong contest.
Among them is Sparkles of Luck, who finished third to Hallowed Dreams in the Dixie Miss Stakes at Louisiana Downs on July 15, and Colormegreen, who finished second to her in an Evangeline allowance race in April.
Also entered is the six-year-old Ides Beware, who has not run since taking an allowance race at Evangeline on May 22. The other entry, Justins Love, has won once in 18 starts.
