HALL'S CLASSIC DISPLAY

Endless Hall produced a tremendously game front-running performance to capture the Sodexho Prestige Scottish Classic, the feature race at Ayr today.

Luca Cumani's charge, carrying a 7lb penalty for winning a Group One race in Italy last time, had to give weight to all his six rivals in the Group Three contest.

Jamie Spencer sent the 7-1 shot to the front from the off and began to wind up the pace with three furlongs to run.

The 11-4 chance Beat All moved up strongly to challenge the leader two furlongs out and the pair settled down to fight out the finish.

Sir Michael Stoute's hopeful looked set to wear Endless Hall down inside the final furlong but the winner found reserves and held on by a short-head.

Port Vila finished a further three-and-a-half lengths adrift in third.
