The ground is holding up well at Ballybrit ahead of day three of the Galway Festival, with today’s card featuring the tote.com Galway Plate which is due off at 7.20.

The latest going report from the course describes the ground as good (National Hunt) and good, good to yielding in places (Flat), and watering is ongoing this morning.

The forecast is for the next couple of days to be predominantly dry.

Looking ahead to the post-Festival action, Bank Holiday Monday August 5th sees a Flat card at Naas and a National Hunt meeting at Cork.

At Naas, the going is described as good, good to firm in places and they are monitoring the situation with regard to watering.

Cork’s ground is good, good to yielding in places for the jumpers, and with a mainly dry weather forecast there for the coming days, watering is currently taking place.
