Ballinrobe hosts its final meeting of the year with the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Handicap Hurdle the feature on an eight-race card beginning at 3.25pm.

Champion jockey Jack Kennedy and Grand National winning rider Rachael Blackmore are among those in action with many of the races attracting full and competitive fields.

The going at the western venue is currently described as good following a dry 48 hours.

The forecast is for a cool and dry morning with possible outbreaks of rain or drizzle later in the day (3-5mm approx).

The ground conditions also look set to be good at both Leopardstown and the Curragh for Irish Champions Weekend.

Leopardstown is currently good, good to yielding in places, following a dry day and there is the small chance of showers overnight (1-2mm approx).

The Curragh is now good on the straight course and good, good to firm in places, on the round course where selective watering has taken place ahead of Sunday’s card.

There is the possibility of 3-4mm of rain on Saturday night into Sunday morning but dry thereafter.
