Glibin was produced with a perfectly timed run to claim the mares maiden hurdle at Thurles.
Barry O'Neill drove his mount to the front going to the final flight to land the spoils in the two-mile contest. Espresso Lady had hit the lead four from home but was tackled by Tellherimnothere at the second last.
The pair soon battled it out but both were trumped when the Colin Bowe-trained Glibin (7/2) pounced.
The Luso mare stayed on strongly on the run-in to record a three-and-three quarter length success over 7/4f Tellherimnothere.
The winner was making the breakthough over hurdles having also landed a bumper and a point-to-point.
"She'll probably have a break now and then go novice chasing," said Bowe afterwards.
