Tom Gibney's Booyea is one of 42 still engaged in the Balmoral Handicap at Ascot on Saturday.

Needing seven to come out to be assured of a run, the chestnut four-year-old has already won twice this season, landing the valuable Dubai Duty Free Derby Festival Handicap at the Curragh in June.

A close fifth when last seen in the Sovereign Path on Champions Weekend, Gibney is hoping his four-time winner will make the cut.

"If we get in, we are going to run. He's been on the go a while, but he still seems fine," the Co. Meath handler commented.

"He's a difficult character and we like the idea of travelling him now to see how handles the travelling and we are unsure about the ground. There are a lot of question marks but if he gets in he'll run alright.

"He finished well at Leopardstown over a trip too short. We were delighted with him that day so all seems good."
