The Paul Deegan trained Bobbi Grace landed a gamble as she ran out an impressive winner of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden.
The daughter of Big Bad Bob was available at 9/2 this morning, opening on-course at 11/4 before going off the 9/4 favourite.
She finished a good fifth behind Words over seven furlongs on her debut at the Curragh last month and dropped back to an extended five furlongs this evening she was prominent throughout.
She travelled strongly from two furlongs out, hitting the front over a furlong from home before quickly stretching clear, going on to score easily by four and a quarter lengths. Fit For The Job finished second at 5/2 under Fran Berry for David Wachman, while newcomer Thing Of Nothing (20/1) kept on well in the closing stages to take third under Chris Hayes for Kevin Prendergast.
Leigh Roche said afterwards: "She is very nice and she should have no problem getting blacktype.
"She is a nice filly and she was doing everything so easy. She was always travelling and I thought we were only hacking.
"I think she should come on well from that and six furlongs should be her trip."
The winner is a half-sister to Ghetto Gospel who won four in-a-row for Ger Lyons back in 2010 before being sold overseas.
Both Miss Ranger and Texas Ruby were withdrawn at the start, the latter breaking through the stalls riderless.
The rest of the runners were removed from the stalls while she ran loose and the race went off nine minutes late as a result.
