Galway or the Cesarewitch are the options on the table for the Jarlath Fahey-trained Boher Road.
Successful at Navan and Killarney this season, the versatile five-year-old disappointed when last seen in the Ascot Stakes at the Royal meeting.
"It took him a little bit of time to get over the run in Ascot," Fahey revealed.
"The ground was probably a bit quicker than ideal for him and he was a bit sore afterwards. Nothing major but you'd know he was after having a good gallop on a hard surface but he seems fine.
"We're debating whether we'll keep him going for Galway or put him away and come back for the Cesarewitch."
The Monasterevin handler also gave an update on Granite Bay, a winner of his last two starts at Cork and Roscommon respectively.
He added: "Granite Bay is on a mid-summer break. He had a few quick runs and will be back in about a month or six weeks.
"He's a fine big horse and just needs to grow into himself. We're very pleased with what he's done so far this year and is a horse with a good future in front of him."
