The seventh and final day of the 2024 Galway Racing Festival takes places on Sunday afternoon. The first of eight races is due off at 1.50.

Following 1mm of rain overnight, Clerk Of The Course Lorcan Wyer said: "There is a yellow rain warning in place that was originally in place from 8pm this evening. It's now come forward to 1pm today. Looking at the radar, it looks like the heaviest rain is staying north of Galway racecourse.

"We are going to get some rain. It's looking like 5-6mm during racing. Our goings at the moment are soft(flat) and yielding(NH). The racing line on the flat is the same line as yesterday. We've tried to freshen things up as best we can on the chase and hurdles course. Down the back on the hurdle course, the rail is moved in 5-6 yards where we could to give a fresher line

"With a small number of runners in the chases, we have narrowed down the fences a little bit today to give a fresher line. The hurdle and chases will be finishing on that outer straight as they did yesterday. The flat races and the bumper are on the inner line."
