Galway's big summer festival begins on Monday with the going for the seven-day meeting having eased overnight.
Clerk of the course Lorcan Wyer this morning reports “we had 10mm rain overnight and going-wise that brought us back to yielding on the national hunt course, and the flat going is yielding to soft.
“The forecast in general for the week ahead looks to be mild, dry, humid and light winds. In the Atlantic coastal regions there is always the possibility of some showers but how much that amounts to, we are never quite really sure.
“Overall the track is in really good nick and we are looking forward to a great week.”
