Britain's top female jockey Alex Greaves' return to race-riding has been delayed because of complications in her recovery from two fractures to her right wrist, but she hopes to be back by the end of the month.
The injuries were sustained in a fall on the gallops four weeks ago and she explained: "They had to break the wrist again and re-right it recently because it wasn't knitting together.
"I have got to go and see the specialist again on Thursday and hopefully there will be good news and I will be able to have the plaster off in a couple of weeks."
Greaves, wife of trainer David Nicholls, added: "I can't ride out so the muscle has gone a bit, the wrist has not got any bend in it so I suppose it will take another 10 days to get right after the plaster comes off.
"I will be disappointed if I am not back before the end of May and fortunately I have not missed too much because of all the rain we have been having - most of our horses want good or fast ground."
