David Nicholls attempts another 'smash-and-grab raid' on a top sprint handicap at Ripon tomorrow when he saddles no fewer than eight of the 23 runners in the #37,500 William Hill Great St Wilfrid Handicap.
He has an embarrassment of riches in the sprint department and will be hoping to match the result in the Vodafone Stewards` Cup two weeks ago when Tayseer - one of his six runners in a 30-strong field - took the prize.
The Thirsk trainer said this morning: 'It`s a handicap and they`re all in good form so they might as well take their chance.
'We could get a bit of rain which would suit Further Outlook but they`d all be OK if it did get wet, except perhaps (Double) Oscar who`d prefer it fast.
'I can`t really choose between them but I suppose Further Outlook might be the best - it`s all down to the draw.
'I`d like to see them drawn one, two, three, four, five, six, seven and eight, then I can keep an eye on them all at once.'
Guinea Hunter will carry top-weightof 9st 10lb in the race with other eyecatching entries including disappointing Stewards` Cup favourite Blue Mountain (8st 13lb) and last year`s runner-up and ante-post favourite Bon Ami (8-13).
Nicholls` hopes were nearly realised when the draw for the race was revealed.
Proven front-runner Further Outlook should be able to get to the stands` rail from stall five with stablemates Double Oscar (drawn 2), Cryahvoc (7), Alastair Smellie (8), Bahamian Pirate (9) and Atlantic Viking (10), likely to follow.
But the trainer will also have to keep an eye on the far side of the track with Zuhair drawn 16 and Anthony Mon Amour in 20.
Nicholls later announced that Bahamian Pirate will only run if there is overnight rain.
