GODOLPHIN TEAM OUT TO PLUNDER NEWBURY PRIZE

Godolphin, who are double-handed with Aljabr and Worldly Manner in the Group One Juddmonte Lockinge Stakes, rely on Sea Wave in the main supporting race on tomorrow's Newbury card.

The five-year-old, who has not won for two seasons, faces eight rivals in the Listed Grundon Recycle Stakes (registered as the Aston Park Stakes).

These include a fellow son of Sadler's Wells in Commander Collins, trained at Manton by John Gosden.

The 1998 Racing Post Trophy winner was limited to just two runs as a three-year-old, but showed promise on his return at Sandown when fourth to Little Rock.

Zaajer, who failed to live up to expectations following his victory in the Michael Seely Glasgow Stakes at York last May, is another interesting contender in the nine-strong field for the £21,000-added event over an extended mile and five furlongs.
