GODOLPHIN TARGET LOCKINGE TREBLE

Godolphin could field three runners in a bid to complete a hat-trick in the Juddmonte Lockinge Stakes at Newbury on Saturday.

The Dubai-based operation left Aljabr, Fly To The Stars and Worldly Manner in the Group One race today.

Fly To The Stars was the organisation's 'second-string' when lifting the one-mile event last year, as was Cape Cross when collecting 12 months previously.

Also among 11 horses confirmed for the #135,000 event today was the Aga Khan's Sendawar, whose French trainer Alain de Royer Dupre is waiting on the weather before deciding running plans.

The 1999 Irish 2000 Guineas winner Saffron Walden and Irish 1000 Guineas second Golden Silca have been left in, along with Indian Lodge and Sugarfoot who took last month's KLM UK Mile at Sandown and Leicestershire Stakes at Doncaster respectively.

Juddmonte Lockinge Stakes: Confirmations: Aljabr, Almushtarak, Alrassaam, Fly To The Stars, Indian Lodge, Saffron Walden, Sendawar, Sugarfoot, Trans Island, Worldly Manner, Golden Silca (11).
