Godolphin are to switch their two-year-old training operation to Newmarket from France next year, it was announced today.
The team will be based at the Sheikh Mohammed-owned Stanley House Stables which has been vacant since John Gosden moved to Manton at the end of last year.
Trainer David Loder will remain in charge of the operation.
A statement on Godolphin's website said: 'David Loder, the trainer in charge of Godolphin's European two-year-old operation, will train approximately 100 two-year-olds next year at Stanley House Stables in Newmarket, England.
'Stanley House Stables on Bury Road has been unoccupied since John Gosden moved to train at Robert Sangster's Manton Estate at the end of last year and Godolphin is keen to utilise these outstanding facilities.
'Godolphin's European two-year-old operation was established at the former Evry Racecourse in France in late 1998, in time for the 1999 season.
'At that time Stanley House Stables was not available and the French site, which is leased, was the most suitable for a private training operation.'
Since moving to Evry, Loder has sent out 20 winners from 53 two-year-old runners, including City On A Hill who was successful in Listed and Group Three company, and Dignify, winner of the Group Three Prix d'Aumale.
Godolphin also have an American juvenile team based at Santa Anita in California under the care of Eoin Harty. -PA
