GODOLPHIN CHARGE SKIPS THE LIGHT FANTASTIC

Godolphin`s Breeders` Cup Turf Fantastic Light pleased Saeed bin Suroor in a workout at Churchill Downs last night.

The four-year-old breezed seven furlongs on the track`s turf course - officially riding firm - in company with stable-companion Dubai Two Thousand.

And his trainer said: 'He worked nice. I`m quite happy with him.'

Fantastic Light is 6-1 third favourite with William Hill for next Saturday`s mile-and-a-half Turf, a race Godolphin won with Daylami 12 months ago.

He won the Grade One Man O`War Stakes at Belmont Park last month and was reckoned unsuited by a slowly-run race when only fourth in the Turf Classic at the same venue last time out.

'When he ran the last time in New York, the pace was very, very slow,' bin Suroor said. 'I think a race that has a very good pace suits him a lot.'
