GIANT`S SMALL FIELD

Giant`s Causeway will face just five rivals when he bids for a fourth straight Group One win on Tuesday.

The Aidan O`Brien-trained St James`s Palace Stakes, Coral-Eclipse and Sussex Stakes winner headed a small field declared for the Juddmonte International at York.

He faces a rematch with Sir Michael Stoute`s Kalanisi, whom he beat by just a head in a controversial finish to the Eclipse - after which the pair`s jockeys George Duffield and Pat Eddery both received whip bans.

O`Brien also saddles likely pacemaker Shoal Creek but Stoute did not declare Greek Dance for the #450,000 contest.

Also withdrawn from the 10-furlong event today was Michael Jarvis` Ela Athena, who is set to be aimed at Wednesday`s Aston Upthorpe Yorkshire Oaks instead.

Juddmonte International: Declared runners: Almushtarak, Kalanisi, Lear Spear, Barathea Guest, Giant`s Causeway, Shoal Creek (6).
