Fox Leicester powered clear in the closing stages to run out an impressive winner of the claimer at Dundalk.
The Denis Hogan-trained gelding was sent to post 11/8 favourite in the ten furlong contest and was produced to lead a furlong-and-a-half from home by Daniel King.
He soon put the race to bed and galloped on strongly inside the final furlong to post a four-and-a-half length winning margin over 25/1 shot Intend
The winner had won a handicap over course and distance early last month before finishing fourth over a mile-and-a-half a week later.
King said afterwards: "He travelled well and I was in a lovely spot throughout. When I asked him, he picked up and did it nicely in the end.
"He would get further, he settles quite well.
"Fast ground on turf would suit him. He's nice to look forward to."
The winner was claimed back by his trainer Denis Hogan. The runner-up Intend was claimed by Pat Martin.
