Dermot Weld’s veteran stayer has been given a chance by the handicapper, dropped 3lbs for finishing in mid-division in the Irish Cesarewitch, and should run well here with highly regarded young apprentice Sam Coen taking a further 10lbs off his back. Only 11 months ago Falcon Flight was a wide-margin winner of a Group 3 at the Curragh and a reproduction of that level of performance would certainly make him a major contender for this handicap.

Facethepuckout was an easy winner of this race last year and has an excellent overall record at Naas. He is 7lbs higher in the handicap for the race this year, but arrives in good nick and is reunited with Colin Keane who rode him to victory over the course and distance in July.
