Breeze-up purchase Brighter London (10/1) won on his second start today, landing Dundalk's Irish EBF Median Sires Series (C&G) Maiden for trainer Jack Davison, the Cuala Syndicate and jockey Ronan Whelan.

Favourite King of Scotia (11/10) was clear a furlong out but drifted left and was passed by Brighter London close home, for a three parts of a length win.

Trainer Davison stated “he's a nice colt to have and was well bought at the breeze-ups (Goresbridge, for €62,000) by a friend of mine bloodstock agent Barry Lynch.

“He's a very good physical specimen by an unproven sire (Lightening Spear). Whatever he does over seven furlongs this year he'll do more over a mile next year. He's done things mostly on raw ability this year.

“There were some horses today which were well thought but I was quietly confident that my lad had come forward since Naas and that would appreciate this nice slick surface.”
