Davy Russell recorded an opening race double after For Bill took the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Novice Grade 3 Championship Final Hurdle for trainer Michael Winters.
Russell raced the Donie Sheahan owned mare in behind the leaders and took up the lead travelling well before the last.
The pair soon sprinted clear and kept on gamely to post an impressive eight length win over 6/4 favourite Morning Supreme
A thrilled winning owner Sheahan stated afterwards: "That's as good as Kerry winning the All Ireland."
"She'll be a good mare to go chasing but she'll have a break now just like myself."
