Fogarty taken for x-rays after fall Mikey Fogarty was taken to hospital in Clonmel after a heavy fall in the third race at this evening's meeting. The jockey came to grief aboard Oscar Invitation at the first in the Holy Thursday Handicap Hurdle and the flight had to be bypassed as he received treatment. Fogarty was reported to have suffered concussion and a right knee injury. He was taken to Clonmel Hospital for x-rays on his right knee. Dr Bernard Healy, the racecourse doctor on duty, said:- "He has suffered a concussion and has been taken for x-rays with a query fracture of his right knee but hopefully it is only a soft tissue injury." Turf Club medical officer Dr Adrian McGoldrick added: "He has a concussion and has been referred to hospital for X-rays on a possible fracture to his radius in his right leg. "I spoke to the doctor at the track and he was conscious and alert, but taken for checks as a precaution. "He will be automatically stood down for six days."
