The situation regarding fog at Punchestown is described as "pretty bad at present" by Clerk of the Course Brendan Sheridan, although officials are hopeful that it will lift in time for today's card which features a cracking renewal of the John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase.
The final hurdle was not visible from the winning line at 8.30am, and Met Eireann have said fog will be slow to lift.
The situation is being monitored with further updates due through the morning.
The going at Punchestown, where the action is due to begin at 12.35pm, is heavy following 10mm of rain since declarations.
There are no problems anticipated at Cork where the going remains soft to heavy, heavy in places, following a further 2mm of rain overnight.
