We sail from one weekend of fine racing into another as Ireland fires a host of high-class horses at this weekend’s Group 1 action at Longchamp. The Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe is the showpiece on Sunday in which Los Angeles, Continuous and Al Riffa represent Ireland.

Gowran Park and the Curragh host action closer to home on Saturday, while Group 1 action takes place at Newmarket’s Rowley Mile. It is a magnificent betting weekend and well worth signing up for free bets to spend on the action:

Emma Nagle’s Prix de L’Arc de Triomphe Tip

Continuous 3.20 Longchamp Sunday 1m. 3f. 204yds

After a bit of a disappointing performance in the Prix Foy last time, Continuous looks way overpriced for this year's renewal. He was a fast finishing 5th last year (only beaten three lengths), and this year's race looks if anything weaker. A fast pace will bring out the best in him, which you are almost guaranteed in the Arc, and he won't need to improve to get in the money here.

Vincent Finegan’s Ireland Tips

Flash De Touzaine (nap) 15:05 Gowran Park Saturday 3m H'cap Hurdle

Liz Doyle has her horses in top form at the moment and it would be no surprise to see a big performance from Flash De Touzaine here. He reverts to hurdles for the first time in over three years off a handicap rating 11lbs lower than his chase mark. He had two decent runs over fences this summer and this three miles distance back over hurdles looks well worth a try.

Lismacbryan 14:50 Curragh Saturday 6f H'cap

Back from a break and making her handicap debut off a lowly mark of 51 Lismacbryan showed up prominently at Bellewstown on Thursday when finishing fourth and could represent value here despite being 3lbs out of the handicap. She showed nothing on her first two starts, but ran considerably better when encountering decent ground when 7th of 17 in a maiden at Navan in mid-May. On a number of form lines from that race her initial handicap mark looks lenient and with a recent run under her belt she could go well here.

Stephen Harris’ UK Tips

See The Fire 2.40 Newmarket Group 1 Sun Chariot Stakes 1m

Andrew Balding’s form shows no sign of slowing down as the flat season draws to a close, with 7 winners in the last fortnight, and his progressive performer impressed at York last time out over 1m1f.

Adaay In Devon 3.00 Ascot Group 3 Bengough Stakes 6f

Rod Millman’s stable star has a fantastic attitude under pressure at the business end of her races, and that could count for plenty.
