First success for Golden Days Golden Days gained a deserved first win at Cork today, landing the Follow Us On Instagram Handicap for trainer Tracey Collins and jockey Ronan Whelan. The five year old daughter of Canford Cliffs encountered Dublin traffic issues on her previous run on April 6, finishing fifth, and following today's success Collins said “she got into trouble at Leopardstown the last day and full marks to the owners who have persevered with her. “She had placed form in the past but had niggly problems and in fairness the owners stuck by me too - it is very much appreciated. “She is a seven furlongs filly, she doesn't get six or a mile and unfortunately these races are like hens' teeth. With a bit of luck, she might build on today. “The three-member syndicate are from all over the country and unfortunately today is the first time that none of them have been at the races. But the job is done so I'm delighted.”
