Fatcat can't catch Harry Eoin Doyle struck in the finale on Clonmel Oil Chase day back in the middle of last month with Hawaii Five Nil (sold last Saturday for £130,000 to Jonjo O'Neill). The Kilkenny handler wasn't long about again picking up the winning thread at Powerstown Park when Crouching Harry landed the opening 3-y-o Maiden Hurdle under Mickey Butler. The Tiger Hill gelding made all and he held off the odds-on favourite, Fatcatinthehat by half a length. That one raced keenly, didn't have a completely trouble free passage but ultimately had every chance. Doyle explained: "He deserved that. He has run well everyday but he's always seemed to find one too good. "He picked up well today and stayed at it well. "We'll try and find a winners of one at Christmas if there is one." The winning owners, the Suir Syndicate, are a three member grouping that includes Glenmore and Kilkenny hurling top-man of the past, Christy Heffernan. (TW & EM)
