Bold Optimist continued to keep the name of rookie trainer Daniel McLoughlin up in lights with a Curragh success yesterday, and another of the County Kildare handler's charges, Duckadilly, could be seen out again soon.
The three-year-old daughter of Churchill looks one worth waiting for, given the way she delivered on her home reputation on debut at Naas in May - justifying the faith of those that backed her down from fancy odds to a starting price of 11/2.
“I had her in a winners of one race two weeks ago but took her out as she was in season," explained McLoughlin.
“All going well we are looking at the Group 3 Fairy Bridge in Tipperary on the first of September.
“We’ll be taking a chance going there with not too much experience but we like her.
“We don’t know what a Group 3 horse is like as we’ve never had one!”
