Some of the best bred bloodstock in the world may be traipsing around the ring at Goffs today but at the Fairyhouse races it looks like a good old fashioned bumper could be the focus of the punters` attention.
Fyfer, an expensive failure behind Marys Madera at the Listowel festival, goes on the compensation trail in the last. With Noel Meade saddling the course and distance runner-up Good Vintage, Fyfer could be a reasonable price to get his head in front at the third time of asking.
Fyfer`s trainer Paul Nolan could also be on the mark with another Listowel failure, Park Leader, in the maiden hurdle if the horse`s jumping has improved, while Castleshane should be hard to beat in the juvenile hurdle.
Given the week that`s in it, it`s appropriate to see Snake Moun- tain run in the first division of the two-year-old maiden. The son of AP Indy and Coup De Genie was an expensive purchase at Goffs last year. Aidan O`Brien`s filly Snowflake looks the one in the second division.
