FUN POSSIBLE AT SANDOWN

Sounds Like Fun is rated as only a "possible" for Saturday's Coral Mildmay Cazalet Memorial Chase at Sandown.

Trainer Henrietta Knight has a number of factors to weigh up before deciding whether to let the nine-year-old take his chance in the 29{-furlong contest.

"He's in good form," Knight said today. "I haven't talked to the owners, he has got top weight and it also depends on how much rain we have. He's a possible.

"He wouldn't want it soft, he's never gone three miles five and I wouldn't particularly want him carrying 12st but the plus is that he loves the course so I can't really make a decision today."

The gelding finished third behind The Outback Way in the Murphy's Gold Cup at Cheltenham on his reappearance in November and ran a sound race in defeat when third to Tresor De Mai in the Tote Silver Cup over three miles at Ascot last month.

"We stepped him up to three miles last time and that was a bit of a step up because he'd been running over two and a half.

"He didn't have any trouble with that, he's actually bred to stay but it is quite a big step from three miles to nearly three and three quarters. But he goes in a relaxed way so we wouldn't be too bothered about the distance."

Knight also has Red Blazer entered in the Sun Punters Club Novices' Chase on the same card as well as the unbeaten Best Mate in the Sun 'King Of The Punters' Tolworth Hurdle

"We might run Red Blazer and we'll probably run Best Mate in the Tolworth. That looks a very hot race, it will be a bit of a finding out mission anyway," Knight added.
