FRENCH TRIP FOR EDDERY

Pat Eddery will ride Amalia for Peter Harris in the Group Three Prix Exbury, the first French Pattern race of the season, at SaintCloud tomorrow.

Monday sees the second running of Stratford's National Hunt Flat Race Challenge between British-based and Irish jockeys.

This year 18 horses have been entered including the Michael Hourigan's The Sawdust Kid.

Mick Fitzgerald yesterday decided to wait until tomorrow before making his return to raceriding.

The jump jockey missed his remaining rides at Bangor on Wednesday after being shaken in a fall from Hooded Hawk in the Red Square Energising Chase.

He had hoped to return at Towcester yesterday but has decided to take an extra couple of days off to recover.

'I'm just pretty stiff all over really and a bit shaken,' Fitzgerald said.
