Trainer Caroline Bailey has entered Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup hope Castle Mane in the R.E. Sassoon Memorial Hunters' Chase at Folkestone on Tuesday.
But last season's Christie's Foxhunter Chase winner is still an intended runner in Saturday's Walrus Hunters' Chase at Haydock Park.
Bailey today said: "We still plan to run him at Haydock but I've put him at Folkestone as a precaution.
"I saw all that rain forecast and I thought it would be terrible if Haydock was off and he wasn't able to get a run.
"The Gold Cup is still a possibility but I want to see what happens at Haydock first before thinking about it."
