Folkestone became tomorrow`s first casualty of the weather in England when its jumps meeting was abandoned this morning.
An inspection of the rain-hit had not been due until 2.30 this afternoon.
But clerk of the course Fergus Cameron said: 'We brought the inspection forward and we have called off the meeting.
'We had another 38mm of rain overnight which makes 175mm in the last seven days.
'There is eight to 12 inches of water running across the junction turning into the home straight where the river has burst its banks.
'While it is possible it might clear we have further heavy rain forecast and realistically it is not going to happen'.
Tomorrow`s meeting at Kelso has been abandoned because of heavy rain.
Two inches of rain in the last 24 hours left the Borders track waterlogged and unraceable.
Clerk of the course Johnny Fenwicke-Clennell said: 'We have abandoned.
'We have had two inches of rain in the past 24 hours and there is water lying all overthe track.'
Tomorrow`s meeting at Folkestone has already been called off because of flooding leaving Newbury as the only surviving card.
