FLAGSHIP HEADS FOR CHELTENHAM

Flagship Uberalles will run in the rescheduled Doubleprint Tingle Creek Trophy at Cheltenham on Saturday, it was confirmed today.

Connections of last year`s Tingle Creek winner were considering running the six-year-old in the John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase the following afternoon but after inspecting the track in Ireland on Tuesday trainer Noel Chance has opted for Cheltenham.

'I looked at Punchestown yesterday and although the track is perfect the ground will possibly be better at Cheltenham,' explained Chance. 'There is also the prospect of gales which would hinder our travel plans so we`ve decided to stay at home. Richard Johnson will ride.'

Chance also had news of his Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Looks Like Trouble, who suffered an injury to his near-fore tendon when scoring at Down Royal on his reappearance and will be out of action for some time.

He said: 'He`s on his treatment and will be fired after Christmas. We`ll scan him in the summer and then we`ll see where we are with him.

'We can`t cry too much because we`ve got so much out of him.'
