English jockey Rodney Farrant is looking forward to re-establishing himself after making his return to race-riding at Worcester on Wednesday evening.
The rider, who retired from the saddle in March, announced his intention to return to action earlier this month.
And Farrant, who rode the unplaced Primitive Countess for trainer Bill Haigh in the Racing And Cricket Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race, reported his comeback to have gone well.
He said today: "I rode in the bumper last night and it's all going fine.
"I've been riding out regularly for the last three or four weeks as well as jogging and walking so I wasn't blowing too much afterwards.
"All my old contacts have been very supportive and hopefully as the season goes on I'll pick up more rides.
"A few winners would be nice!"
Farrant's biggest success came in the 1997 Queen Mother Champion Chase at Cheltenham aboard Martha's Son and he also partnered Princeful to victory in the Bonusprint Stayers' Hurdle at the following year's Festival.
