FALLON TO RIDE IN UAE

Kieren Fallon is make his comeback from injury by riding in the United Arab Emirates this winter.

Last year`s champion jockey is to ride out for trainer Kiaran McLaughlin during the season which runs from November 9th to April 14th.

'We don`t have any dates on when Fallon will be coming over here or when he will actually be riding in a race. I suppose that will depend upon how he feels after his injuries,' said a spokeswoman for the Emirates Racing Association today.

Fallon has been out of action since June 21st when he sustained injuries in a fall from Alhawa after a pile-up in the Ascot Stakes at the Royal meeting.

The next day he underwent extensive surgery on his left shoulder, which if he had not received could have left permanent damage.

Willie Supple will also be riding for McLaughlin`s Red Stables this winter following his appointment earlier this year as number two rider for Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum.

Emirates Racing Association Chief Les Benton said: 'Kieren Fallon`s confirmed presence adds more lustre to a season which we believe will be the best in the Emirates.'

Fallon is no stranger to Nad Al Sheba having won the last two runnings of the Dubai Sheema Classic on Fruits of Love and Fantastic Light.

Other riders confirmed for the UAE season are: Willie Ryan, Michael Hills, Seb Sanders and Keith Dalgleish.
