Kieren Fallon has signed a five-figure two-year deal to wear the logo of bookmaker Victor Chandler on his breeches.
The champion is following the lead of Frankie Dettori and Tony McCoy who have similar deals with the Tote.
Jockeys are forbidden from betting but the Jockey Club is quite happy for Fallon to strike a liaison with one of the major bookmakers.
'It's all been agreed - the Jockey Club had no objections - and it will come into force the day before the Derby,' said Victor Chandler spokesman Neal Wilkins.
The deal comes exactly a year after the pioneering bookmaker announced the decision to set up offshore betting in Gibraltar.
The exact wording that Fallon will carry on his breeches has yet to be finalised.
But under the deal the champion will carry the logo in most races he rides in over the next two years.
Fallon will also be available to advise Victor Chandler guests about possible winners.
'In much the way that jockeys speak to the television companies before racing, Kieren will come up to our box at racecourses and give our guests a feeling about the card,' said Wilkins.
Victor Chandler, who has pumped about £500,000 in sponsorship into racing in the past year, said: 'One year ago today, we announced our intention to move offshore in order to give gamblers a better deal. The rest is history.
'Today, I'm delighted to unveil the powerful combination of the country's foremost bookmakers and the premier jockey of his time in a unique sponsorship deal.'
