Kieren Fallon is back in action tomorrow after a spot of sick leave with two mounts at Brighton.
The champion has ridden just two winners so far this year but is now ready to make up for lost time as he seeks to complete a hat-trick of wins in the jockeys' championship.
He will partner the Queen Mother's Double Brandy and Andy's Elective for John Jenkins at the seaside track.
Fallon has been out of action since giving up his booked rides at Warwick nine days ago.
The Irishman has been complaining of a sore throat and there were reports that he had been suffering from glandular fever.
His acting agent Jonathan Ramsden said: "Kieren is definitely returning tomorrow.
"I haven't had the chance to chat with him much so I'm not exactly what the problem has been.
"They thought it might have been glandular fever but it can't have been that if he's returning tomorrow."
Fallon will be in action at the important two-day Newbury meeting on Friday and Saturday.
His mounts include Seazun in the Fred Darling Stakes, Biennale in the Watership Down John Porter Stakes and Pantar in the Tote Bookmakers Spring Cup.
But Fallon is still searching for a ride in the Lane's End Greenham Stakes.
Contrary to some reports in papers today he will not be partnering the promising Misraah in the Group Three event.
Fallon is the principal jockey this year for Misraah's trainer Sir Michael Stoute but the colt is owned by Hamdan Al-Maktoum and all his horses are ridden by Richard Hills.
