Fait Le Jojo made an impressive start to his career over timber in the opening John Doyle Aurelius Juvenile Novices` Hurdle at Ascot today.
Sent off the 6-5 favourite, Paul Flynn`s mount tracked leader Joey Tribbiani in the early stages of the race.
Flynn asked Philip Hobbs` charge to challenge three out and he soon set up a commanding advantage.
A mistake at the final flight slowed his momentum a little but he still had 11 lengths to spare over Tikram at the line.
'He did it well - I`m very pleased,' said the winning trainer.
'I`ve no idea where he will go now but it`s a good way to start.
'He`ll probably need a galloping track. He was a mile-and-three-quarter horse on the Flat and he stays well.'
