FADALKO OUT OF THE PINK

Majadou - one of three Martin Pipe runners - heads the weights for the Thomas Pink Gold Cup at Cheltenham tomorrow following the withdrawal of Fadalko at the overnight stage.

The champion trainer`s other representatives in the #80,000 contest, which has attracted a field of 16, are ante-post favourites Lady Cricket and Exit Swinger.

Fadalko was quoted as short as 6-1 with Victor Chandler for the race and the seven-year-old`s trainer Paul Nicholls will now rely on recent Chepstow winner Norski Lad.

Barry Simpson, racing manager to Fadalko`s owner Robert Ogden, said: 'Fadalko is absolutely fine.

'There`s no target. He`s entered at Ascot next Saturday in the early-closing race (First National Bank Gold Cup). We`ve got three other entries in the race so plans are very fluid.'
