Envoy leads home O'Brien one two We had no Psychedelic Funk owing to a temperature, but we still got an exciting conclusion to the Listed Coolmore War Command Rochestown (C & G) Stakes. Ballydoyle's Peace Envoy got the better of the Owning Hill-based Lundy as Aidan O'Brien goes down as the handler as the first two home at Naas. Always up there in the pace-setting role under Ryan Moore, 15/8 second favourite Peace Envoy jinked about a little around a furlong out, but he kept going sufficiently well to keep the Donnacha O'Brien-ridden Lundy at bay by half a length. Richard Hannon's 11/8 favourite Hakeem was a disappointment as he finished last of the five. Aidan O'Brien said of the winner, a son of first-season sire, Power: "He's still very green. He never went in front before and will learn a lot from today. He'll probably go to Royal Ascot and could run over five or six furlongs as he's not short of pace." Peace Envoy - Betfair Coventry Stks 12/1 (from 25/1) & Norfolk Stks 16/1 (unchanged) The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Hakeem (FR), trained by Richard Hannon (in GB), at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
