Every Wednesday Emma Nagle presents us with her “Eyecatchers” pinpointing horses to follow throughout the National Hunt season.
Last season, followers of Emma’s horses enjoyed a fruitful run and we have kept track of when her selections are in action.
Three highlighted horses are running this weekend and you can get up to €100 to spend on the action with Tonybet.
Saturday 11.40 Navan Kilberry Pub & Kitchen Maiden Hurdle 2m. 4f. 50yds.
This promising sort for Gordon Elliott has a big engine and is a fascinating runner on his hurdling debut. The Kayf Tara ran too keen in bumpers but still won two of his three runs, including a hot contest at Punchestown when last seen in May and he is obviously very talented. He has won a point-to-point so jumping shouldn't be an issue and the hurdles could make him a bit more tractable.
Saturday 3.43 Navan Bumper 2m. 50yds.
Elliott also saddles He Can't Dance who runs in the closing bumper on Saturday for Gigginstown. The Jukebox Jury gelding won a point-to-point at Monksgrange in late March and cost £300,000 afterwards. The well-related sort is highly regarded and the market should prove a good guide to his chances.
Sunday 3.40 Navan Bumper 2m
Gordon Elliott has won Sunday’s bumper twice in the last eight years and Swing Davis is this year’s representative. The mare was bought for €320,000 in May for Robcour following an impressive win at Loughanmore in a point to point when in the care of Dennis Murphy. She showed an impressive turn of foot that day and definitely looks one to beat.
