Gordon Elliott joined a select club of those to saddle 100 National Hunt winners in an Irish season when Robin Thyme scored at Punchestown yesterday, and he wasted no time adding to that tally as De Plotting Shed recorded a facile win in the Demesne Maiden Hurdle at Clonmel.
The 1/5 favourite took it up from the front-running Get Out Of Jail after three out and was well clear before the penultimate flight.
Bryan Cooper 's mount stayed on strongly in the straight on the testing ground and had all of 47 lengths to spare at the line. Crown Hill took the runner-up spot, with Knockraha Boss in third.
Elliott is away at the Cheltenham Sales but Cooper commented, "He was entitled to improve on his jumping after his first run over hurdles the last day and he'll make a lovely fun horse for the owners (Ives Ashley Vasey Partnership)."
