Oliver Brady had every reason to be excited after his Ebadiyan put up one of the juvenile hurdling performances of the campaign with an eight length rout of the opposition in the Punchestown Juvenile Hurdle.
Johnny Cullen got to the front on the grey from two out and the 15/8 shot soon had the race in safe-keeping when sent about his business in the straight, and though he stood off the last, he was never going to fall, going on to win easily from front-running favourite, Tharawaat
Brady commented afterwards: "I think I've got my dream for Cheltenham. It took me a long time but now I've got him. There were no flukes about today, he annihilated them. I thought he was a moral certainty if he handled the ground. He'll have a run in the middle of February. If it comes up good ground at Cheltenham, it'll take a very good horse to beat him."
William Hill now go 8/1 from 20s about the 18,000 guineas buy out of the John Oxx-yard for the Triumph Hurdle. Paddy Power are 12/1 from 25s. Meanwhile Cashmans are 16s from 20s.
