Whitsbury trainer David Elsworth has had the recent bankruptcy order made against him annulled.
The order made on August 9th was annulled and the petition issued by the Inland Revenue on June 16th on which the order was based has been dismissed.
A statement from Elsworth`s Salisbury solicitor Richard Griffiths, of Griffiths & Co, read: 'On behalf of David Elsworth I would like to add that there never was any question of his not being able to satisfy the claims made by the Inland Revenue.
'But David Elsworth did not accept that the Inland Revenue were necessarily entitled to all that they were asking from him and certainly did not appreciate the consequences of delaying his response to the enforcement measures employed by the Revenue.
'Since this firm was instructed on August 2000 we have had nothing but cooperation and understanding from the Official Receiver`s office and I can also add considerable help and support from Lloyds Bank.'
The dual-purpose trainer, best-known for his association with Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Desert Orchid, celebrated his 1000th career winner at Salisbury last month.
