Earthmover will miss Saturday's Ladbrokes Casinos Scottish Grand National at Ayr, Paul Nicholls revealed today.
A faller in the Martell Grand National last weekend, he could run instead in a handicap hurdle at Cheltenham next Thursday.
His trainer said: "Earthmover is fine after his fall at Aintree but he won't go to Ayr as he's not quite ready to run. He's a possible for the three-mile handicap hurdle at Cheltenham next week."
Soldat, who will be ridden by Ruby Walsh, is likely to be Nicholls' only runner in the Scottish marathon as the trainer also ruled out Gigi Beach.
He said: "Gigi Beach won't run in the Scottish National as he's out of the handicap and it doesn't appear as if the weights are going to go up.
"It is my intention to run him in the Golden Miller Chase, a race he won last year, at Cheltenham next Wednesday."
