Jabbar is on a break after a year that saw him win twice on the Flat and once over hurdles for Ger O'Leary.

The five-year-old gelding signed off with a creditable third place in the valuable Colm White Bookmaker Beggar´s End Handicap at over an extended two-miles at Naas yesterday.

The trainer said: “He ran a cracker in the big handicap at Naas. He got a lovely ride and there was no bad luck in-running.

“He’s been consistent all year and is a lovely dual-purpose horse.

“He’s done a fierce week’s work for us and will have a little break now.

“He was very good in Galway (over hurdles last week) and jumped well.”
