Dream stuff for Reddington There was something miraculous about an un-fancied newcomer emerging from the fog with a forty-year-old having his first ride up. Such was the case though as John Reddington guided his own Agent James home to score by four and three parts of a length in the Trim (Pro/Am) Flat Race at Navan. He put up a pound overweight at eleven stone eight but that made not one whit of difference to the outcome and Reddington explained: "That's my first ride and first winner and it's something I always wanted to do. I'd be good friends with lads like Richard Hughes and James Collins." Winning trainer Charlie Swan said: "John's a building contractor in London and he's forty. "This has always been a nice horse. He's just been a backward sort and it took a while to get him out. "He's from a good old family of ours." (AM & EM)
